You have a low rate on paying claims is because you dont pay freight claims ever. I have pure proof that damage claims dont get paid; even when packaged properly. You have low ratings because you dont pay claims PERIOD. Been doing this a long time and I sure know what I am talking about. |

| 3. Written by Audy Haze on April 25, 2012 from alexandria, virginia, US I purchased an air compressor and it was shipped via R & L Carriers. It arrived damaged. R & L Carriers transported it from end to end and when it arrived at end, it was laying down (fallen over), oil ran out, scroll cage on pullys, motor, all bent up. Driver acknowledged damage, signed bill damaged in transit and I filed claim within a few days. Damage claim was supported by photos, invoices for replacement parts and submitted to R & L Carrier timely and perfectly. R & L denied my claim! Said, they are only going to pay 10cents a lb. or 31.00 for damages they did that was over 500.00 to fix. It is written above that your wasting your time hiring an attorney. Well we will see what a Jury Trial will say. It is time that R & L is held responsible and pays for damages caused under their watch. I feel a victim of R &L Carrier being able to even do this to a consumer. Do not use R & L Carrier under no circumstances. |
| 4. Written by Shipper on February 22, 2012 from regina, saskatchewan, CA If you don't like the $/pound rate, declare a value. Did R&L get this shipment from an interline carrier? Was the ORIGINAL BOL marked owners risk? Improper crating? I have worked in the freight industry my whole life, trust me, you are wasting your time hiring an attorney. You will get nowhere. |
| 5. Written by debscrubs on February 16, 2012 from livingston, new jersey, US Before hiring R & L Carriers check out their insurance policy. Note the DOLLAR AMOUNT PER POUND that is covered should your item get damaged during shipping. NOT GOOD INSURANCE IF YOUR ITEM GETS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING !!! |
