I ordered a special gift for my husband. I made special arrangements for me to be home to accept the package. I was told it would be delivered between 11am - 4pm. By 6:30 I had called them 4x and was told his driver would call me back. I waited outside for 2 hours. I did not receive a call. My experience at rl carriers was an experience that I want forget,the driver and dock workers was very helpful by all means.dispatchers complete ***,dumb *** ways of working,they don't value their drivers at all,it's a good ole boy company that I want work for again ever if they offer me 1 million to step foot on they're property...DON'T DO IT!!!!! This is the first review I have done but the third bad encounter with R+L. Twice waiting half the day waiting for my shippment only to have it not arrive and then having another baddly damaged and returned only to have to wait two weeks before I could get the replacement. Driver ran me off the road today almost killed me. Should be in prison... Tag number Leo681. Reported to safety allready. To the driver your lucky i decided NOT to press criminal charges.

In December of 15 I hired R&L to pick up a pallet of sand rail transaxles and deliver them to our Phx. location. They did not show up the day they were supposed to so I tracked them the next day and the tracking info said it arrived in Phx. the day before. Ok, So I purchased 3 tanning beds from MN. I paid 1800.00 to ship them to Houston Texas. It was supposed to be a 3 day shipping, I watched my tracking everyday closely. On Friday morning the company I purchased the beds from sent me directions on how to take the crates apart and the manual for the beds and told me the beds should be arriving soon. I hired R&L to deliver a used machine I purchased for $2500.00. It was damaged beyond repair during shipment. I called them immediately and explained the damage. I put in a claim along with documents of payment and pictures of the damaged machine. They agreed it was their fault, yet will only pay $80.00 (10 cents per weight, 800 lbs). R&L Carriers are the worst. I rarely write reviews, but they were unable to provide a delivery timeframe (any better than 8 hours!), they were rude, and they left packaging (a wood crate!) in the middle of the sidewalk/street outside of my house. Wilmington,Oh location...Customer service not good at all. They all sit @ their computers like so busy. Make stand @ the window and wait like they're so busy. I go there at least once a week & it's the same every time
